Great ideas everyone, even the white paper. I am adding some pics to this, here are the sides with white paper (or as close as I could get) with close-up shots also.
Here is
Side 1: Lacquer Thinner Pictures
Side 2: Lacquer Thinner and Vim aka Soft Scrub Pictures

Hope this helps !

Yeah, you can see the color difference better now.

Before, the 'sheen' as well as color were making it harder to discern the color change.

Excellent job!

Not sure what you did to get such fantastic results on your piccolo using the laquer method. What did I do that was not correct?
I think your looks better than any of the trials. Some insight for everyone on the technique please.

This is a great idea and wonderful follow-through. I cannot tell too much of a difference but it could be my screen. I actually sort of like the aging yellow but this is good to know it can be done. I appreciate the effort it took to put this together. Thanks!

Thanks for doing the hard work and research for the forum. This will be very helpful for many members. I would suggest making this a sticky.

You didn't try retr0bright.
Oxyclean, and peroxide.
Look it up. I did a clubdate combo that was almost orange.
