Default Re: Japanese Drums - Organization of names and badges
After making a post about my MIJ Rocket snare drum I realized that it wasn't on the list of MIJ names on the Vintage Drum Guide. I decided to pull out the list I've been compiling for years ( anytime I see a MIJ snare, I check my list of names ) and I appear to have 19. I'm pretty sure I didn't accidentally put a UK name in there. But here is what I have ,

Tulio
Rocket
Leban
Norma
Topper
Musketeer
Kimberly
Jet
Cortley
Marlin
Sorento
Howard
Van Hall
Lotus
Marveltone
Stingray
Multishine
Zen-on
Recco

If any of these aren't MIJ, my apologies and please let me know so I can update my list. I'll have to track them down, but I also tried to save badge photos as well.

I couldn't help you simply from those photos- a close up shot of the badge showing the serial # would definitely help identifying Yamaha drums. A shot of the interior shell of one of the toms or bass drum also would help. Good luck and thanksSumo
Hi, Im sorry for such a delay in responding and thank you kindly in advance for any insight you may have. Here are 2 pics of 2 diff badges on the kit. The kit was rewrapped and lugs were also rechromed but the badges show original age.

Sent this one on to our Webmaster Dave in an e-mail.
Did not see it posted any where and I believe it is a MIJ drum.
Here is a picture of the badge and lugs for
