Default Old mystery cymbals - Help?!

First, I have here an old mystery cymbal I picked up from a friend of mine for a song and a dance. It appears to be quite a few years old and is made of a very soft alloy, so resultingly has a very quiet, low sound. It's fairly thin too but rather heavy for its size/thickness.

The stamp is SUPER with a crescent moon and a star between the points of the moon. Underneath is "Made in Germany".

Can anybody help as to:

A) what the heck it is?

B) roughly what it's worth?

This one I unsharp masked the logo to make it a bit more readable:

Second, I have an ooooold little 13" china cymbal I got quite a while ago. It's stamped Made in China and has a very faded inked chinese character on the front. I've heard several people speculate that it could be a very old Wuhan but I'd like a better opinion from those who know such things.

Anybody who can help, it'd be greatly appreciated!

The first cymbal that says "Super" is a Paiste, prices varies according to size, type of cymbal (ride or crash) and condition (cracks or not) They were a entry level line I believe in the 60's.........Second one looks like a Wuhan, and they are not really getting a lot of money, due to the fact they are all over the place, and not the best made cymbal.....

Regarding the Paiste Super, as BBK said is it an early budget line made in Germany - not Switzerland. Since they are usually fairly thin they are susceptible to damage and any damage can adversely affect sound. Material wise, I am not sure but there are some that think they are made from B20 bell bronze but I am skeptical. B20 is usually hard and brittle. I am thinking they are made from brass....hence the softness. My opinion value wise - no more than $50 for a 20" ride and less than that for crash/ride or hats. These can be hard to sell on e-bay because of the wide variation in sound quality. People usually want to hear them before buying.

The Paiste "SUPER" line was made in both Switzerland and Germany of CuSn8 paiste alloy, which is the equivalent of B8 Bronze (92% Copper, 8% Tin). I owned a set of Supers in 1969 (all Swiss made). The 20" Riveted Ride was truly "super" but the 16" crash and 14" hi-hats were mediocre (similar to the Ludwig Standard paistes).

The first SUPERs were NS12 - the later ones were B8.

Yes, the Paiste Timeline lists the Made in Germany Super's from '55-'61 and being NS12. I had a 18" that was pretty trashy and dark. What size is yours?
