Hey, Mark!
For some reason, I was able to do a bit of tweaking today and the original jam nut and wheel work perfectly now! The god of drums was watching over me today! This old Star, even with this cool gizmo, is never going to replace my late seventies Supra but, I think I'd like to bring it to practice to try it in a few songs. It certainly has that sixties feel to it! Thanks again, Mark and to everyone for the replies and help. You guys are remarkable!
