Hello R.Adam McHugh
Yes I think you may be right
I found that floor tom (one of only two) floor toms in a big bunch
of random drums and drum shells It was basically a boneyard storage room
on the second floor of an old and well established music store in Ansonia CT.
I bought all drum related contents being stored there at the time
mostly mij stuff missing most or all hardware and some old mij made marching stuff as well
The other wmp drums with the sun set bass all came from the same place
as did the fantasia pearl shells I re-built into the kit pictured above
many nice drums pictured in the pile were nowhere to be found
by the time I came along but my main focus was on the couple of stripped fantasia shells I could see in one of the photos
It turned out to be a 20" 16" "13" no snare shell but with a set of matching bongos minus the heads the other fantasia drums had no heads no hoops no hardware at all

anyway about that odd Rejent badge
it is identical to the foil sticker type Stewart badges used on all the later Pearl made versions of Stewart drum kits
the hardware is all likewise identical
This drum may have been built for a child sized kit as it is only a 13"

still I think it looks good enough with the others

Mr.Toast hello to you
I imagine you cherish your rare mij acrylics
But just so you know ..I have been searching for a kit like yours for my MIJ display
if you ever want to sell them let me know

In the meantime however you could use any color inlay on those hoops
and it would look awesome good luck with those AL

Hello Vater
The blue sparkle inlay was all but destroyed on that hoop mostly UV fade
I replaced it with red sparkle to complete another bass drum
But your problem seems like it would be easy to solve even with a slightly more modern black steel hoop and some vintage blue sparkle donor material
put it on the batter side and don't tell anyone

Thanks for the reply, Kenwood. Yeah, that's more than likely the plan. I picked up a couple Ludwig Accent hoops that I will probably replace the inlay (with either chrome or silver sparkle since matching the blue will be next to impossible) and use on both batter and reso sides, but I'm not too happy with their size. They're smaller in both width and thickness than the original.

Vater I have faced that same issue myself
I used one of each
I put the original hoop out front and buried the smaller profile hoop in back
visually from most angles the kit appears 100% original

Kenwood,
It looks great! I tell you though, it seems everytime you turn around there's yet another MIJ name and badge! Wasn't a forum member compiling a new list comparatively recently?
But to my mind at the moment, REJENT is the best name, purely for the spelling!

Hello again and Thanks R.Adam McHugh
I could not agree more ..something weird always pops up
in the case of this Rejent badge I think I may have seen it once before
I think it was a little six lug blue ripple snare someone had here but I could not bet the farm on that

This Star Stagelite kit I restored had plastic hoops, however I used steel hoops for my project.

I may consider doing that, but my OCD will likely kick in causing me go with both Accent hoops so it will be symmetrical.

Vater I know what you mean
Luckily anything you do either way is as reversable as a head change
