Default Vintage Wrap, New Kit

I traded in my 2016 Club Date for this 2017 Ludwig Keystone kit in a black oyster pearl finish. Made in the USA. They sound great and the wrap is spot on to the original. It has an inner and outer ply of oak and 3plys of maple for the core.

Had those clubbies for 13 days!
Those new ones are very nice though, I imagine they're louder with the oak
I like the sizes

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Nice. You should try a Keystone 24-in kick. The Keystones are very underrated drums.

The Club Date were the same size as the 1968 Ludwig blue sparkle kit I just bought, I chose to keep the blue sparkle and trade in the Club Dates to have different sizes and a black oyster pearl kit.

Ya you should definitely keep the blue sparkle, and these suit the ringo in johnnyringo.
Is that a blue oyster pearl snare in the background? is that vintage?

The snare with the kit is a pre-serial number Pioneer and the one on the floor is just your average every day supra. I also have a Classic Maple that I gig with because it cuts through everything, I usally don't even need to mic it.
