Let's see your drum room!!
I recently moved and have an old single car garage that I'm turning into my drum room. I'm looking for ideas and inspiration for not only playing but also displaying and working on the hobby we love. Show em off!!

I would...if I had one.
Yeah, just a corner in the basement. Although as time goes on, I'd like to start a badge collection and maybe put up some drum art, photography and memorabilia. Kind of make the corner a bit of a shrine to drumming and drummers. |

The best name for a drum room ever...The Drumgeon! VDF member J!m has trademarked it though, so you can always call it your beat laboratory like the movie Step Brothers.

My temporary drum room is my living room following a long gig. My permanent drum room is 5.5 miles from our condo in a storage unit, nothing spectacular, but I get to work on my chops between shows.

Mark,
Wow! So neat and tidy, and just beautiful! What are those discs made of between your drums? Plexiglass? Fiberglass? Lexan? Glass? Very classy and impressive room. Josh |

Thanks for the compliments! The round discs you're referring to are plexiglass from a company out here called S&W Plastics. I've spent quite a bit of money over the years to buy them! Unfortunately, S&W has now closed the majority of their stores. I'm glad I got all of them when I did! I also custom made quite a few of the square clear tables you see on many of the Ikea stands. They are acrylic sheets from local hardware stores, cut to my specs. I then purchased acrylic tubes and also had them cut to my specs. My girlfriend glued each set of 4 tubes to the acrylic panels. These allow me to put 2 snare drums per shelf on those Ikea stands! The final results do look pretty good! -Mark |

I'm just going to echo this... great looking, tidy room.
I think it's every drummer's dream to have a nice calming (& well stocked) space for their passion. |

When my wife asks why I have 7 or 8 snare drums I’m going to show her your pictures.
