Default 1967 Vintages Rogers left hand kit

For sale is a stunning 1967 Rogers Blue Onyx Holiday Left Handed drum kit. The wrap is beautiful with tight seams and no cracks or splits. The chrome is in great shape . I have the original Rogers Heads on the 13, 16 toms and the 20 bass drum. All tags are still intact. Interior is solid grey. The snare drum is a Powertone chrome 14x5 and snare stand is also original. The high hat stand is a swivomatic with memory lock swan leg. Base drum pedal is also a Swivomatic. The kit has original beavertail lugs in which were very popular in the era.
High hat cymbals are rare 13 Zildjian Avedis. Also included in the kit are a 16 crash Cymbal and 20 medium ride cymbal. Also Zildjian Avedis. All cymbal stands are included as well.
Asking Price is $3000.00 CAD I am located in Toronto Canada

I don't know if that price you're asking is realistic or not, but I would suggest you allow us to familiarize ourselves with you as a contributing member of the forum, instead of coming here just for the express purpose of selling a drumset. This is a friendly place with good people who like to help fellow drummers, so please become a part of the community. I'd also suggest some better photos of the drums themselves.

People don't have to be here a while to post for sale like some other sites. OP is not doing anything wrong, they included a price which albeit is a bit higher than what the average would be for a similar kit.

All suggestions are welcome, but most of the long time members do have very good advice and are drummers.

With a price tag like that, I'm hoping shipping is included? You should be willing to send better quality P ics to potential buyers, as most buyers are very interested in details.

Good luck with the sale.

I think i saw that kit for sale here in Quebec for a really good price a while ago..
I say this because the front bass drum head was missing in that kit as well..
But i could be wrong..Good luck with your sale, and as others suggested, you'll need to post more pics..
Plenty of Rogers guys who can give you a good estimate on what
your kit is really worth..

I second this sentiment!

A few things to note about this drum set. The first is that it is, essentially, a catalog offering in blue onyx rather than red, and it has upgraded tom-toms for that era. That is, it would have cost somewhere around $12-$15 more to buy it with the 9x13 and 16x16 toms. The catalog showed it with the smaller 8x12 and 14x14 set-up and also with a Dynasonic snare drum. This one has a PowerTone, and that would have more than balanced the cost to upgrade the toms. Personally, I really like these 20, 13, 16 set-ups.

The outfit name is Citadel. There is no cymbal mount on the bass drum, only the tom mount and spurs. The cymbal stands are Rogers, but not the typical swan-legged units normally supplied. They are listed in the 64R catalog as part no. 1725C, flat base cymbal stand.

So either a dealer or buyer custom-ordered this set with its various amendments to the catalog set-up.

Overall, this is appears to be a very nice, original and complete set from 1967. Very cool that it is a factory left-handed set-up. bmann1 and I had been back and forth on it. I have the other two onyx colors in those sizes, and that is why I was interested the the third. But in the interim I got one set from Canada a bit later on and nearly got into trouble with the US Post Office on delivery because I used my local FedEx store to receive it while I'm out of the country. The US PO was not too happy about that for some reason. Commercial competition I suspect.

Note to bmann1: You really need to give these guys some good photos if you hope to get any traction on the sale. Good clear ones in daylight showing everything you have in detail. Good luck on the sale.

I'll also pile on and say much better photos are needed. The only way I can tell it's a Blue Onyx kit is because your post says it is...
