Cool snare drum Jeff
The color and shape of the badge reminds me of a Gracy snare
The hardware looks similar to some Norma and Del Ray drums I have over here

Well Gary, I love that wrap! I think its very cool, never seen one like it, wonder what its called.

Hey thanks man! I am close to being done with the clean up. Should have the "after pics" posted tonight.
Did you ever do anything with that Zimgar floor tom I sold you?

Thank you, we all love to see that pic!

In the listing it's called "Peacock Pearl", Jeff.

I have no idea what the formal name is.

Finished up the drum tonight, wife is sleeping so I better not play it right now. Put new heads on it, cant wait till morning. Im going to play it with my new Ludwig BDP kit and see how it fits in. It sure is a nice looking drum, if it sounds as good as it looks then Im gonna be really happy. Very good quality hardware on this drum, the hoops are not cast but very heavy gauge steel, made tuning easy. The worst part about it is the shell, very thin, like a 3ply Ludwig without re-rings though so its rather flimsy without hoops. Lugs were solid, heavy and the threads were well machined. The tension rods were so clean I just wiped then off. All of the parts/screws were original and present, nothing missing and no unwanted holes. The biggest problem was the screws and washers, they were badly rusted and needed to soak for a day and I never did get all of the rust off.
All in all a pretty nice drum for under 100 bucks.

Well since I cant play drums right now I might as well take some pics, which are not that great, I think its time for a new camera.
Anyway, the snare looks great with the other orphans.
