Default April 21, 2013 - Forum Update
Hello everyone! I'm still here - I check in often, but have not been posting. Just in case it is not apparent TommyP handles all of the front end forum administration and I handle the behind the scenes forum and user problems.

I'm still answering a lot of vintage drum questions through email and working with other drum sites on projects and things of vintage drum interest.

TommyP and I have been discussing the forum upgrade to the newest version of the software and ways to make sure the forum is secure and available for years to come.

We have been delaying this upgrade for some time now, purely for economic reasons, not having the funds to do it right and with a professional service that will ensure no loss of data or worse, a non-reversible outcome.

At the moment, we are talking with two programmers to get a timeline and the approximate time to do the project.

Physically there will be some changes to the look, but the main changes will be how the forum works and handles its internal functions.

There will be some things to overcome, but we are wanting to make sure that it is as minimal as possible.

More will be discussed in the coming weeks.

Thanks! I will be at the Chicago Show! So you can find me there in May.

I'm still working out the logistics - I just emailed the two potential programmers to secure an estimated $$ amount. If I can swing it, I will, but not sure yet what they think it will take.
