My experiment concluded. Put a tom in my living room, direct sun a lot of the day for a month and saw no difference in tint or color of the stain sun-side to dark-side, so I live with the difference.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
