Default Gretsch Walnut Burl Kit

Has anyone seen a Gretsch kit with a finish like this? I've only seen the Carpathian Elm Centennial kits, but there was mention that some were walnut burl.

That could be a Curly Maple from 2005 (? USA is still in the badge..

There was a Few "Curly's" (lol) really.
They came and went fast.

What's the rest of the set dimensions; look like etc.

It's a Baldwin era kit from the early to mid 80s. The original owner bought in in 89. It definitely not curly maple.

there they are lol

if you want to know more about these (?) the serial number etc.
the 'M' in front of model number I would post over at DFO and ask Rich Gier who wrote " Dating Gretsch drums"

That's an oddity- I don't see a solitary 'M' anywhere in 'the book' or price catalog (it's usually) 'GM'.
So maybe Rich can tell you something etc.
I do in the book see the 1984 model year began with a 20000 serial number..

Thanks for the extra info, guys. I've generally had the most peculiar experiences with Gretsch drums, seeing some oddities that defy the norm.
