The stars came first and since yours doesn't have the stars I would guess 70's but at this point it's just a guess. I need to do more research on the hardware.

Dolfan's right. I ordered an identical hi-hat new in 1973 to match the rest of the hardware in a kit. It shipped from Chanute.

I've Seen them on ebay ranging from $60.00 to $150.00, depending upon condition and completeness.
I've got a rusty one I used for 12 years, on the road for 8 of those years. Still functions like new, but looks awful. |
