They obviously fell into the right hands, because you are restoring these very nicely. Crazy that anyone would paint over that green sparkle wrap, but I guess people go with what's in at certain times. Green is pretty rare.

yes indeed...a friend had owned the set since 1982, and that's how he bought it.
loving the project and it was fabulous to see the green sparkle underneath all that paint!!
I Will let you know how they sound when the restoration is finished and for sure I will be gigging it too!!

the very rare 6 lug snare nearly finished, just waiting for the bottom head to arrive from Germany,then fit the wires and all done...
...then the big bad original early model 28" bass drum!!

yes buddy...6 lugs it is a 13" one too,which is not often seen as a Speedfire snare so very delighted to have it as the original to the set !
