These shouldnt be confused with the lower-end wooden Paiste drums. Not that they were bad, just pretty ordinary. As far as these Paiste bronze drums go, I'd give up body parts for them.
I'd give up your body parts for some also!...wait, that didn't *** did it? LOL! Serious bad-a$$ness...Jeff makes some serious stuff, except for that GC Carbon Steel crap, heard horror stories from guys about hardware issues on those drums. I think they were an overseas outsourced product though. Anything Jeff puts his hands on is usually great stuff, but you pay for it! There are a lot of big time players that use his snares, Steve Smith & Carter Beauford to name a couple. The Paiste kit is my holy grail...Carl Palmer played one & they sounded great!...but Carl could make soup cans sound great. Anyone remember what the list price on these monsters was? I tried to buy one of the snares several years ago on sneezeBay, when the bidding went over 1K I dropped out. Very cool drums...they'd look really good with my Paiste Sigs hanging above them!
