Know what was happening ? It was exactly the same throughout the song except when the solo I played without the bass and horns going,...I fell out the groove.

Just try and nail it alone by yourself.

After 4 count... debiedutdit, debiedutdit, debiedut. 123-4' / 123-4' / 123' Accent the fours and the last 3. Triplet feel on the 123's.

John

*You know a two stroke 'Debbie' right? (Pat Boone/Debbie Boone - well-worn R&B lick - snare-rack-snare-snare-floor)

I dunno Purdie,...that sounds too rhythm and repeatable as opposed to bring it on down. Up loud and after a slap, I don`t think he goes back to the snare.

I gotta wait til I`m alone.

Are we still talking about the same song? Sister Golden Hair? It's a simple song, let's try not to complicate it.

Yup. and Jim`s supposed to play it so he better listen up. Purdie prolly knows what he`s talking about because I can`t read or write a note and I`m tapping it out on the desk with chop sticks cause my kit is stored.

It sounds like jim`s vocal is coming in late and the blend isn`t blending when he introduces the drums.
