Default Ludwig t-rod lenght

Did Ludwig have two different lengths of t-rods for their bass drums? I have a drum with 3 7/8" long rods but they are too short. Are there some out there a bit longer?

The claws changed at some point. Newer claws require shorter tension rods. Older claws used longer rods with t handles. Other than that I don't know why the rods would be different lengths.

Well I figured out the problem, the drumhead I was using must be a marching drum head or something because I tried a different one and they were long enough.
