Default Ludwig Standard Aluminum Snare Drum
Here's a really nice 5x14 Ludwig Standard snare in a matt aluminum finish. It's complete and sounds fantastic.

I couldn't agree more, it's better than any Acrolite I've played, I'd say it's closer to a Supra, but I'm need of cash more than another drum, I'm low on the dough. Luckily, Robyn64 is sending me a matching ten lug snare to go with the kit she donated, so at least I'll have a snare.
If anyone is interested, you won't be disappointed.

Were the Ludwig Standard snares sold with the Standard drum sets back in the day?

A Standard blue sparkle set is still on my wish list. The one in the Partridge Family tv show.

Yes, you could choose the anodized aluminum finish, chrome finish or matching 3ply wood snare.
