Re: Reason Why This Luxor Snare is So Expensive?

Yes, I'm definitely trying to be nice with this!! I do find it amusing how one comes up with a price. Even if it was NIB, I really wouldn't see more than $2500 for it, but even $1000 would be a good...

Re: Hope All Are Well!

Hi JS!

Yes, a tough road ahead for all of us. What concerns me most is the widespread panic by the uniformed, who make it impossible for many of us to go to the stores to get just basic...

Slingerland was doing the same thing, although I don't believe there was an actual name for it. Here's my 70's 10x14, 3-band, marching drum.

Re: First Gig With The Ludwig

Hey JR!

Great looking kit! Have you considered a Legacy Jazz Fest snare drum? I know they're a bit pricey, but I've heard lots of good things about them. Plus, you can get it in Oyster Black!

Re: This is the Display Your Rogers Drums Thread

Hi jdz!

Great looking COB Dynasonic...and a 6.5" one, too! Did you buy the repro rail and wires? They are actually really good!

I've got a 5x14, 1966, 7-line. All original except for heads!

Re: This is the Display Your Rogers Drums Thread

Does this one count?!! It's an R-380 snare drum. Complete and the mechanism works great! For some odd reason, the R-380 sticker was applied to the inside of the shell! Maybe a disgruntled employee?!!...

Re: This is the Display Your Rogers Drums Thread

How could I forget about my first professional drum set! It's a Rogers Celebrity, purchased in 1972. You can see the worn, original, Rogers heads! It came with a COB Dynasonic, but I also had a...

Re: Uneven lug factory placement???

While I haven't really had any drums with lugs off too much, I did have a Ludwig Acrolite snare drum where the beds didn't line up with the throw-off and butt. Could never figure out why the drum...

Re: Original WMP bought new at plant

Forgot to mention about the 14" and 15" toms. Are they both 10" deep? I believe a 10x14 was standard, but the 15" came in both 10" and 12" depths. I always felt that the 15x12 was too deep, but...
