Re: This is the Display Your Walberg & Auge Drums Thread

Sweet kit. 16 deep floor tom, correct? That seems to have been a specialty of W&A in that era.

Re: 30's Pioneer bass drum-trap set

You can almost see that bass drum being used on a street in New Orleans back in the day.

I need a nice replacement for the part pictured from my Rogers hinged-heel early to mid 60's Swivomatic pedal. Kindly let me know if you have one you can part with.

Re: Vintage Gretsch RB BOP jazz set question

You do need to divulge at bit more information Mikey. If this kit is in excellent condition with a 14x18, 8x12, 14x14 and 4x14 configuration, it could easily reach $7-10k. So Everglade is correct....

Re: But is it selling?

I think Manny may be the beneficiary of the way he markets his drums, which seems to be more in the social media realm. That market gets a lot more attention and probably zero fees. Manny, do I read...

Re: MIJ Spotting in PA

He offered it for $400 including shipping. Not back considering it is quite complete. I not going there, but thought someone else might want to take him up on that.

Re: Roy Burns passes away?

Wow Mark. Very sad news, but what a great thing that you got to meet him and learn from him. He was a great musician.

What kind of drums are you sitting behind in that photo?

Here's Roy in...

MIJ Spotting in PA

What a cool set! A lot of extras too. Too bad Kenwood, it's just a bit far to drive. Would look good in your museum though.

Re: Roger Wood Dynasonic Natural Finish

I agree with the statements above. There is no way that was a natural finished drum from day one. Even the grommet is suspect because it does not appear to be chrome-plated, though I suppose it could...

Re: Vintage rogers holiday pink champagne sparkle

It's a cool kit, but could use a replacement top tom. It got a bit blown out by Black & Decker.

I'm glad you folks enjoyed seeing it. Kudos to Precision. I just had to reassemble them this time. :D

Re: Rogers Jazz Kit

As an aside, the guys at Precision really nailed the wrap work. Very factory-like application. Of course, the material is identical to what would have been used when the kit was originally built so...

Rogers Jazz Kit

This is a 1968 Rogers Citadel in jet black and 14x18, 8x12, 14x14 and 5x14 sizes. The Dynasonic is original. The set has new wrap by Precision Drum Company. The original wrap was badly cracked and...

Re: Old set of Rogers... 12, 14, 20 inch

No. I'd be lost behind a 24. It's a 22,13,16. I would have tried to buy JoeDrum22's set if I didn't already have a blue sparkle. I really like it, common or not. I like red sparkle a lot too.

Re: Old set of Rogers... 12, 14, 20 inch

Well Blair, I just got one of those, but it's a '66. My first kit was a blue sparkle LaBoz in 1967.

Re: Old set of Rogers... 12, 14, 20 inch

Apologies. It did look Like a 16 floor to. If 14, as the title indicated, then value is up a few hundred or so. A red sparkle with knobby legs on the floor tom and a knobby cymbal mount on the bass...

Re: Old set of Rogers... 12, 14, 20 inch

If the drums all have serial numbers close to the one shown, you have a '66-ish Swingtime in 20, 12, 16 configuration with the optional and less expensive Sta-tite floor tom legs and leg brackets. It...
