Painted inside... and were not white on the outside to begin with. 70464 Should be Flat Gray inside... Dayton. 1967/very early 68. Cannot be white on the outside.

Some Ohio drums were built in Dayton. Some Dayton tag drums were built in Covington.

Not sure I called them out for being the debil... but facts are facts. CBS was a very ... still is... a very big company whose bottom line was to make money. The things hoped for in the sale proved...

These have been hacked on a bit. Take the best offer you get, sell the cymbals separately. They also did not all come together in the beginning. the number you posted is from 1975/76.

the mix of Cleveland Dayton tags are kind of screwy.... because of CBS frittering with the distribution /dealer process as it was set up by Strauss and Grossman. Once CBS took over in April May 1966,...

Numbers started over with Power Tone. 69/70 Fullerton tags will be Holiday. This set could be original. Partly Dayton built, partly fullerton built.

So, ... they are quite valuable. You should be able to quadruple your investment, even if it is high. The snare is worth a fortune on its own.

Not enough to justify the hassle and heartache.

I could better assess the Rogers set... but in my opinion... based on the little I could see and the numbers posted... they are more of a hassle...

I believe the drums have been refinished. Not sure... but they are from 1976 and this was not an offered finish that year. There were only a couple of sets existing at that time that were natural,...

Its always cheaper to buy the drums you want, even if you spend more, than try to make drums you don't really like bend into what you have in mind.
