Kona before you put or drill holes to the drum if it has the mount inside drum put a regular cymbal stand it should work.

Latin Percussion instrument loose a lot of value with age especially if they are Japanese made. For them to have value it must be hand fabricated or of a specialty wood. The only instruments today...

That is the coating they put on the skins, I prefer skins from stern tanning he does not coat the skins. That is done to preserve skin but creates a problem as you play on them.

Those guides are easy to repair. Buy a leather belt wide enough to replace the side of the guide. Cut Belt into about 3 1/2 pieces. Remove the old Rivets from case and replace them with new steel...
