Re: Rogers 1958 B & B Restoration

That's interesting on the Evans heads. My 16" has the early Jasper flat edges. It too sounded great out of the box. The 13" (also Jasper) no so much. Had the same results as you. A "tink" tuned high...

Re: Please help me identify this item?

Agree with Michael. I have a few red label Slingerland stands. And the T bolt looks very much like the ones they used for stand height adj and tilter. I'm not positive on what era my stands are from...

Re: Rogers 1958 B & B Restoration

Really nice! Let me know how you like the Evans heads on them. C1 or 2's? I usually get Evans. But went with Remo Ambassadors on mine. Had a few tuning struggles but great sounding once settled in....

Re: Rogers 1958 B & B Restoration

Josh your doing really good time wise. Took me some 3 years to do mine. And I still need a few hoops and original t rods. Good find on the carriage bolts. The only chrome plated ones I found had...

Re: Shout out to Matt at CT Pro Percussion

Does Matt still have the cigar band set? Thought he sold it. Anyway was lucky to see it and that lovely Leedy set at a CT show few years back. Nice display. Matt is top shelf for sure. Super nice guy.

Re: Please help identify Zildjian 21 sizzle ride

John/Steve thanks so very much for the info gents! I have a soft spot for the Rock 21's and thought the history on them was kind of interesting. Cool ink stamp too.

Mark sorry for getting things...

Re: Please help identify Zildjian 21 sizzle ride

John/Steve do one of you know the basic difference between the 70's version of 21" Rock Ride and Rock 21"? I had a couple Rock 21's with the factory ink stamp. Yet I also see 70's A's stamped Rock...

Re: This is the Display Your Vintage Bass Pedal Thread

Not so vintage but 2 of my SK's. First one is a older WFL model. Nice original condition but has mechanical issues. 2nd one is THE FIRST Speed King pedal I bought brand new some 40+ years ago in 72....

Re: Rogers Drums Score

JM the cold weld process works very very well! I think Tommy's are almost 10 years old under constant tension. Mine are a good 3 years with no noticeable changes. Also under constant tension. It's a...

Re: Rogers Drums Score

These were my project a few years ago and have since been completed. All Jasper shells. Bass is a 59ish pirate badge. Toms in the 60-61 range. VERY flat bearing edges for calf heads back then. You...

Re: Slingerland Chrome over Brass snare - 14 x 5

These are great snares. When I got back into drums I picked up a 70's version. It came with the correct COS hoops. For giggles I threw a old Premier die cast hoop on the batter I had. That with a old...

Re: What Happened Here?

Re: What Happened Here?

Bingo! I think this is it. MIJ SL copy does not have the 2 nubs that locate the lug to the shell. I had 12 old MIJ lugs that were dead ringers for Slingerland. The seasoned vets here explained the...

Re: Vintage Chrome Slingerland

Those newer Pearl tom/bass mounts were added. You can see the original SOM mount on the bass and tom still and extra holes in the toms. May have had a few types of mounts over the years? Also newer...
