Re: In-Ear Monitors

I have trouble getting the bass I need with in-ears. Also getting a representation of my kit in my in-ear mix has been problematic. Much prefer a floor wedge and a good sound engineer who will spend...

Re: Dyna-Sonic Reissue Up Close

Hi Magnus,

Apologies for tardy reply as I just returned from an out of town trip.

My Dyna-Sonic weighs in at 3903g. The box (with all the packing material and swag) weighs 1333g and measures...

Re: Dyna-Sonic Reissue Up Close

The paper label does not have the serial number on the reissues. The "33" on the label is the model number. Good question about serial prefix -- no idea.

Re: Very old Zildjian 12"

I added this little cutie to my very small Old K collection earlier this month. 11", 682g.

Sounds like it is similar to OP's cymbal and the two together might make an interesting pair of hats!...

Re: 1941 Swing Sensation "Top Hat and Cane" Original

Wow, fabulous piece of history and great story. I find it fascinating how much of the fundamental design from 80-year old drums remains in modern drums. Even more fascinating are things like the...

Re: Easy and inexpensive way to keep Supras from de-tuning-or any other drum

One other thing I wish I had tried on the Stage Custom kit (before spending a bunch of money on fancy parts) was a drop of blue Loctite in each of the tension rod receivers. Probably wouldn't be an...

Around Y2K I bought a Yamaha Stage Custom kit. Great sounding drums with sturdy and reasonably light hardware for not much money. Only thing I didn't like was that they were easy to knock out of...
