Re: Joe Morello tribute kit

Great story. Great musician. Great music. Joe Morello was one of the drummers I wish I had gotten to see live.

Re: Rogers Dating Guide

Thanks Mike. I have a speckled Dayton bass at 87318 with the kit in the attached photo. The toms are:

8x12 - 91788
16x16 - 88076

As to the later big R drums, I don't think I've owned any yet.

eBay

Have you noticed that sold listings do not allow you to see the complete listing on eBay now? It used to be you could still call up the listing. Now it diverts you to a new listing.

Re: Rogers Help

Wow, Ploughman! You've got a fantastic pair of eyes. I would never have been able to count plies in those photos. But counting is the way to do it.

Re: Liberty Bass Drum

No clue on the price, but I'm guessing, based on its size and era of manufacturing, that it intended to used as a marching drum.

Ludwig Deal

This looks like a nice deal on 60's Ludwigs if you live near by. You'd need to find a floor tom, but you'd be in pretty good shape for $900 in the meantime. Even looks to have one Camco stand.

Re: My 1st Gretsch Round Badge kit!

PS - I'd guess 50's. maybe very early 60's because there are no interior tags. Gretsch guys to the rescue.

Re: My 1st Gretsch Round Badge kit!

Nice, nice, nice. Everything looks as it should, though the rail at that era is usually down a bit more and very close to the back hoop. The position of yours is better for most of us nowadays. Super...

Re: This is the Display Your Walberg & Auge Drums Thread

Sweet kit. 16 deep floor tom, correct? That seems to have been a specialty of W&A in that era.

Re: Vintage Gretsch RB BOP jazz set question

You do need to divulge at bit more information Mikey. If this kit is in excellent condition with a 14x18, 8x12, 14x14 and 4x14 configuration, it could easily reach $7-10k. So Everglade is correct....

Re: But is it selling?

I think Manny may be the beneficiary of the way he markets his drums, which seems to be more in the social media realm. That market gets a lot more attention and probably zero fees. Manny, do I read...
