I haven't met a drum yet that doesn't ring! The right heads/tuning do make a difference....

Thanks! It was a joy to restore this anomaly in Ludwig history. It was kinda like the "New Coke" mistake that Coca-Cola made.

The Premier 2000 is truly a beautiful drum. I played mine for quite awhile and preferred it to a Supra. It sounded just a little tighter and crisper.
the strainer too was a work of art!Clapping...

Yep, vintage 1950's Brunswick Snooker table that spent most of it first career in a pool hall. 100's of cigarette burns on the top edges to prove it ;)

I can see where pieced together sets will affect data quality.
I suppose drum molestation is another issue that could possibly affect data? Folks placing badges post-factory in this present...

KC, right you are! The transition badge issued in 1958 was a unique single issue badge. I guess, the "transition" is in the configuration of hardware and complete badge re-design from 1969-70....
