Re: Ludwig Red Sparkle Drums

I'm confused to why there is no interest, is it because the 16 is a keystone badge? Like I said, the price is negotiable.

Re: 1961 Slingerland? Help needed

So, you think he could potentially get $900 for the whole kit? I seriously doubt that, the snare may be worth $300 on it's own, but he'd be lucky to get $300 for the rest of the kit.

Re: 1961 Slingerland? Help needed

First off welcome. I'm a little surprised you've had that kit 20 years and you don't know anything about it.
I don't know what year they are, but the wrap is not so good
and there are a lot of...

Ludwig Red Sparkle Drums

I'm trying to fund another kit, so I'm putting this up to see if there's any interest.
All drums have the 3ply shells, the 12,13,22 are b/o badge with clear interiors, the 16 is a keystone badge...

Re: Any ideas regarding this Ludwig Kit?

The kit in question is definitely not from the same era, they didn't use 6ply shells.

Slingerland Price Check

I'm looking for any opinions on the value of this 5ply Slingerland kit. There are minor scratches, but no extra holes, thanks.

Re: Rogers Red Onyx Drums Complete

The cracks aren't moving around, I don't notice any difference in sound from other Rogers kits I've had, so I'll leave them as they are.

Re: Rogers Red Onyx Drums Complete

I'm not going to re-wrap, it will cost me almost as much as I have in the kit and all the work is a pain. They look good enough to gig with and at the end of the day, the sound is all that really...

Re: Rogers Red Onyx Drums Complete

I'm considering doing a re-wrap, would you guys? The cracks are fairly bad and there's some bubbling on the wrap.

Re: Rogers Red Onyx Drums Complete

It's one of my favorites too, I wish there was a way to repair the cracks in the wrap.

Re: Ludwig Drum Throne

i
I believe the logo in white letters is the back of the seat. If I had turned it the other way the top logo would had been backwards when I sat on it. This is the way they advertise it.

Ludwig Drum Throne

I have this Ludwig drum throne with the b/o badge logo. It's pretty comfortable, but I thought I would like one with a back rest. So I found this old Gilbralter bycycle seat with a back rest on cl,...

Re: Why do people dent your heads ?

I can proudly say I don't dent my heads, break my sticks or crack my cymbals. Now, I suppose if you're using the same one ply head night after night playing at full volume, those heads will get worn...

Re: Picked up my dream drum set today

I'm not anal about an all original kit ot it being in pristine condition, I'm not that guy. In fact, I prefer kits that have issues, they're not only cheaper, but you can gig with them and not worry...

Re: Picked up my dream drum set today

Don't play the clueless card, you know exactly what one means when they say virgin kick. I didn't make it up, it's a term that's been around for a long time.
It sounds like you would not inform a...

Re: Picked up my dream drum set today

I wouldn't be drilling any holes in that kick, that's just plain idiotic. Leedybdp has a few screws loose if he seriously thinks drilling a hole in a virgin kick is more acceptable than putting your...

Does anyone know anything about this Ludwig kit he's playing? It has a double tom post and an L-arm mounted on the kick. It looks to be a vintage kit, I wonder if he added that cymbal mount. ...
