Re: Slingerland White Satin Flame

My mistake on the interior finish..... Memory is going!
You can get an Aquarian front bass head with a smooth finish and remove their logo with some fingernail polish remover. They have them with or...

Re: Ludwig Standard Bronze Strata In-lay

I've heard that you can send a picture of the original finish to Bum Wraps, and they can make something to match. Could be worth a shot on such a rare finish.

Re: Slingerland White Satin Flame

Someone painted the interior. That would have had a clear maple interior.
The earlier 24's had just one set of spurs, if I recall correctly.
Cool set and a fair price. Find a matching 16X16!...

Re: Calling all 70's Ludwig Shell Experts

If he is offering a refund, run back & get it!
Something doesn't look right about these. Repro badges, painted, date is way off, these may not even be Ludwig. Again, something looks way off.

Re: Thunder-King Pearl Kit

OK, did one of you get these off of St. Louis craigslist? If not, there was their "triplett" of craigslist a month or so back.
I have to many kits that I don't play, otherwise I would have bitten....

Re: Introduction and my BELOVED new maple kit!

As Austin has stated, his are a year or two before Pearl used Keller shells. Here is my thread for the US Maple Pearl's that I found last November.

Re: Ludwig Silver Sparkle Drums

Back in the old days of the Indy Drum Center forum (now drumforum.org) there was a troll, I think named "hoppy". This troll would extoll the loudness of silver sparkle drums as the loudest finish....

3-ply or 5ply? Did you get the hardware with it?
I'd love to get one someday also.

Re: Duplex "Spirit of St. Louis"

Not quite a "Spirit of St. Louis" kit, but still pretty cool. It is a "Spirit" snare. I didn't see any badging on the bass, and the toms are Chinese toms.
I stupidly sold a full kit when I was...

Re: Help identifying this Ludwig Strata finish

For price reference, about 6 months ago I picked up a 12/16/22 Blue Mist with the original single tom mount for $550. There are some mismatched bass t-rods and a little repaired seam separation.
If...

Re: PureSound problems??

If you're tuning them so tight to cut into the snare bed, they're probably too tight.
Also, release tension when you're not playing or when you're storing your drum, no matter what you are using for...

Re: Ludwig Rockers? on local CL

Actually, if these are early to mid-80's, and the wrap is a quality wrap (and applied correctly), I would say they are well worth it. But, you could probably get the seller down to $225 - $250.
If...

Longshot - 80's Pearl LB-20 Floor Tom Brackets

I know this is a longshot, but figured I try here.
I'm looking for three 1980's Pearl LB-20 floor tom brackets. Currently, there are none on Ebay.
I want there to convert a 16X14 hanging tom into a...

Re: Pearl President Series Fiberglass Shells

If you look at the 3rd pic, from top & behind the kit, you can kind of make out the "Wood Fiberglass" badges above the vent grommets.
