Re: I Want to Play Better

I have actually thought about that, but again, I don't have the extra time.
It's funny, I was able to swing by the drum room today before picking up my grandson. I spent about 30 minutes there and...

Re: I Want to Play Better

Ok guys, I didn't start this thread to cause tension, I took no offense to what DrumBob said, everyone has their opinion, it's all good.

Re: I Want to Play Better

That's great advice, I'll look into it. My problem is really just a matter of not having much spare time, I take care of my grandson most of the week and my wife is disabled, needless to say, she...

Re: I Want to Play Better

I understand, but it's not really about who I'm playing with or what sort of music, it's about me not always being able to play what's in my head when I practice, I try to push myself further, to be...

Re: I Want to Play Better

Hey, I like the groove players too, the ones who play for the song and if you've ever listened to her playing with Lenny Kravitz you'd know she can do that too.
I admire these kind of players...

Re: I Want to Play Better

Thanks, I'm just very critical of myself and not just with playing the drums. This is the only thing, other than drawing, that I can do fairly well. I'm not much good at math or science or law or...

I Want to Play Better

Ok, I came back from the drum room somewhat frustrated. I want to play better, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to practice, ya know because of having a life with other responsibilities....

Re: Still Here

If you wish, but a stone can be broken. Let's just say I'm not actively trying to sell or trade them. I have yet to list there anywhere. My goal now is to find a second kit, unfortunately my finances...

It had crossed my mind to let them go, but I fought off those demons and did the right thing.

Re: Brook Mays Rogers

They were based out of Dallas,Texas, the Rogers were imported drums. All maple shells with the beavertail lugs. They were sued by First Act music for slander and I believe they went out of business. ...

Re: Brook Mays Rogers

Thanks Jimmysticks! That song was done by an all female band in the 20's. Leslie, the lead vocalist, was notorious for finding obscure songs that no one else was playing.
Btw, that was made about...
