Re: Ludwig Rail Arm Help-Am I doing something wrong?

I think it may be a combination of the L-arm serrated teeth being worn down over the decades and metal fatigue of the clamp. I would try adding a thin piece of Aluminum tubing that would fit snug...

Re: Return of the Vintage Companies

I've been admiring that set for some time now. Absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, I am busy restoring my own Camco and I wish to remain married!

Re: Return of the Vintage Companies

I sincerely doubt that "Camco" will ever return to it's former glory.
Hoshino would have to relinquish the trademark name and whatever else they have.
(Interesting question here: who has ownership...

Yes, It's a bit OCD....

But I have three of my SS cases done up this way.
This is the 6.5x14 early 60's COB. A professional case company CAD designed the interior on an Enduro case I provided. For those so inclined, it...

Re: Doug Clifford's CCR Camco kit.

It is interesting that the tom mount on the BD is located far forward (near the front lugs) and the badge is located in the opposite position. Very unusual, so I guess he requested it from the...

Mark,

The store has them. I was just passing this along for anybody who might be looking to complete a project. The guy at the counter didn't know much beyond the fact that they found them tucked...

Slingerland NOS drum heads

Hey Slinger fans!
I walked into a Mom and Pop Music store the other days and found these on the shelf. They said they pulled them down from the attic.

Re: Rogers Cleveland Powertone

Yes! That is the famous Clockface strainer. I think it was available on all Powertones that had B/B lugs.

Re: Rogers Cleveland Powertone

I'm pretty sure that the strainer should be a clockface, not the later one. Bottom hoop is not Rogers. Tension rods for that era should all be square headed (with no flare at the bottom), not rounded.

Re: Rogers fans rejoice! It's a Holiday holiday!

What is remarkable to me is that for a public school instrument, it has not been trashed over the last 55 years. I know of a arts-magnet high school in my area that bought 4, 5x14 Ludwig bronze...

Camco Lineage?

So, I did a short bit on internet sleuthing. I'm not sure if this lines up, but if you have anything to add, I would love to hear it.

1967- Baldwin Pianos buys the Gretsch brand.

1971-...

Re: Identify Bass Pedal

I think the advantage of the Rocket pedal base would be that the connecting rod would be the same as the Swivomatic models. It would then be possible to attach a flat footboard .

Re: Gretsch FA BD pedal help

I believe you are dealing with Spring Pins also called Roll Pins, Tension Pins, and Expansion Pins, Spring Pins are hollow and slotted across the length to facilitate tension. Spring Pins are made of...

Re: Gretsch FA bass drum pedal-need help & parts-have no idea what it is???

Deansdrums59,

Unfortunately, the nut on the non-spring side of my Camco won't budge, so I have not been able to get it off. So I really can't help you there. Hopefully, someone who has totally...

Re: Gretsch FA bass drum pedal-need help & parts-have no idea what it is???

This pedal is identical to the Camco Pedal in every way except the logo on the foot board. I have been restoring my Camco and I am down to tracking down original thumb screws (Yes, I am too OCD about...

Re: Need quick ID on these Rogers

Hard to say (for me anyway). I would guess late Dayton (68-69)through the Fullerton era to 1975.
Looking closer, I notice ten lugs on the un-lined metal snare with the Rogers logo, so that would...
