Well in that case you would have to go through the clear coat to lighten it. So, may you have many blue sky days ahead. I've seen it fade my kid's outdoor toy in less than a year.

This is the same tree, but when they unroll them into sheets, the tint will be all over the place and not uniform at all.

In about ten years we`ll hear back about it. Mahogany doesn't like stain.What you most likely have is a difference in tint from the same order. It`s hard to get plies to match but easy to when you go...

Your drum is all factory and that is one of B&H butt plates. The one I saw was on a B&H Edgeware.

The throw is factory original. The butt plate is not as far as I know, Ajax didn`t use that teardrop lug after the 50`s I think.

The buttplate should show four attachment screws. It looks put on...

Apparently you did run it over, as with all traffic related damage to snare drums, which I don`t think I ever heard of,..a few pics of the drum would really help us see what you are up against.

Sometimes you get lucky and it`s just smoke that is on top of the finish clear film. Sometimes you don`t and like has been said, is under that film. Got a pic ?

No, the hoops are heat treated before finished. plenty strong.

It`s what SONOR refers to as a modern mid level kit. I think the hoops don`t have enough true contact around the head like was...

That`s the way mine went, I have the retaining clip, but I think they all go in the same way. The pin is soft steel and you should be able to squeeze the head with needle nose pliers. If not, pointy...

It`s a tapered pin. it will only come out one way. I knocked mine out once with a hammer and awl. If you are sitting behind it facing the pedal on the BD, it came out the left side. there is a "Jesus...
