I imagine hey are pretty similar. The extra lugs just means a little less tension on each lug to achieve the same overall head tension.

I have some JCR bells that I got when I visited the shop a few years back. If I remember correctly the snare drum used timbale rims and hardware. The shell was like a narrow depth timbale shell.

Dennis “Mouse” Brown is the expert on Kent drums. You can ask for him at the Vintage Kent drums appreciation page on facebook. The hoops and tom mount are not period correct but may be substitutions....

Toward the end of the company they stopped making drums and imported a Tama product that was sold under their name. They are actually quite decent drums although the hardware was prone to stripping....
