Re: Another WMP Ludwig

Thanks, but they have yellowed a little, but I like it. The one thing I don't like is that the 13,16 edges were professional re-cut. The good news is they still sound like Ludwig drums.Cool1

Re: Ludwig Value

I think he means me, I am a true Ludwig lover.Cool1
I only played the kit a little today, had trouble getting 13 to sound right, I couldn't get wrinkles out of bottom head unless I tensioned really...

Ludwig Value

I picked up this 1966 Ludwig kit in a wmp finish. It has the base ball bat mufflers and white interiors. The wrap has slightly yellowed and the rail mount is missing, but there are no extra holes....

Re: Rogers Original

Thanks, I have the snares medium tight, however sometimes they loosen if I hit it too hard.
The cymbal on my right is a 20" Zildian vintage series CIE, it's a very thin crashable ride. The one on my...

Rogers Original

Here's a little diddy we made up on the fly at last night's gig. I'm playing a Cleveland/Dayton Rogers kit with a Ludwig Classic Maple snare.
Thanks.

Re: Ludwig Psych Red Reissue

The kit was put together by a guy in Tennessee about 12 years ago. Somehow it made it's way to Texas and has been passed off as a genuine Ludwig kit for years. I put it on the Ludwig fb page and got...

Re: Ludwig Psych Red Reissue

Alert, Alert! The kit is not what it seems. Only the kick is a Ludwig, the tom and floor are Keller shells and the whole kit has been re-wrapped.

Ludwig Shells

This kit is suppose to be from 2007, the 13,16 have thin maple shells and the kick is thicker. Do these look like shells Ludwig would had used in that time period?
Thanks

Re: Slingerland TDR Snare Drum

This one says it's a 6.5x14, but it looks like a 5x14. It sold for $400 plus shipping. I'm baffled why no one has jumped on mine. I know it's missing extension on throwoff and correct wires, but I...

Re: Slingerland TDR Snare Drum

That snare on Reverb sold for $550 plus shipping, if it was overpriced it wouldn't had sold. I also saw a 5x14., in same finish that sold for $400.

Re: Slingerland TDR Snare Drum

There's a big thread about the greed of sellers and over-priced gear. Look at this and then tell me why my snare hasn't sold already....

Re: Anyone else get disheartened at all the greed in the vintage drum market?

I think they should just do away with the bin, start the bidding at $1.00 and see where it goes.

Re: Rogers Silver Glass Glitter

You are correct sir! Traded the blue sparkle for the silver sparkle Classic Maple and $130. Traded the blue/silver duco for the Rogers silver glass glitter and three snares.
