Re: Opinions: Hawthorne Drum Shop

DrumBob, I come from the straight shooter school of "if you don't ask, you don't know." The guys comment Chris is approachable--so respect that with telling him up front that you have no intention of...

Re: Ludwig guys, tenor drum, FT, small bass drum, none of the above??

Wow-you guys are great! Seems I have every bit of information I need to move forward. Not sure what that is, though. Not sure I want to take the time to remove the paint and do the resto. If I did,...

Love selling vintage drums, hate packing to ship

Is there a thread on here with packing tips? I have a mental block to packing drums. It's a hassle to me. There does not seem to be pre-made boxes in sizes ideal for 14, 16 and 18 and 20-22 inch...

Re: Ludwig snare basket to match this stand

Thanks vibes. I'll keep on the lookout. I'd much rather sell a complete stand instead of just the base. Appreciate the advice.d.

Thanks Jimmy-I do have my eye on them---just too bad I need one lug and not a complete 8. Thanks for keeping me in mind. d.

Re: Mystery lugs-whose are these?

Took some time to nail down, but seems these are Pearl Tempro lugs on a Tempro snare. Didn't generate many responses here---no interest or maybe rare??? As odds have it, I have 7 snare lugs but need...

Re: Ludwig snare basket to match this stand

Thanks for the reply, vibes. To be honest, I don't really know the difference. From some similar stands I've seen, I think it would not have the plastic T handle, but a plain wing nut and a keystone...

Re: Mystery lugs-whose are these?

Thanks O-Lugs. Thinking the same. I saw a very low quality picture on a google search and thought something very close to a match was on a budget-end Dixon???? BTW, I don't know what brand the shell...

Mystery lugs-whose are these?

Sorting through this raft of gear I got recently and I have an un-named steel snare shell that had a few of these lugs barely hanging off the sides. Anyone know? Sorry the broadside is a bit blurry....

Re: MIJ Fans

I'm not a fan of raining on someone's parade, but that much for MIJ and they're painted over----that would be a no deal for me. I'd feel better down in the $150-175 range myself. Throw out an offer....

Anyone willing to part with some rims? Don't need to be fancy. Need two 14 inch snare rims, one with 10 lugs, one with eight lugs both with bottom rim snare gates. Triple flange style for a Luddy...

Re: Performance Disaster

Not gear related, but funny nonetheless. Bizarre as it unfolded, doing a Beatles tribute gig and on the count of four-all four of us start playing 4 entirely different songs! We all looked at each...

Re: Vintage Pearl Fibre Glass Kit Need Info Ebay Purchase

Sean, I played and still play a Pearl FS-1 Artist in WMP from the same era. (Mine has the COB Jupiter snare though). The sound, while not as mellow as wood, always served me well playing a long time...

Re: 70ís Rogers Butcher Block

What a deal. Nice looking drums. I myself get a little nervous when time passes on a potential deal. I've often been scooped for being patient. Even at the risk of being somewhat annoying, I'd do my...
