Looks like some of those lug screws have chewed out & have been replaced with self tappers?.. Colour is critical but that wrap does have some issues...

I thought that too, and if that is the case (as a long time owner of a 51N). IMO the 16" is be a better blend with that kit than the original 18" would be.

12x8 mounted toms are my favourites. I have a Tama on my player kit at present & have previously owned Gretsch, & Pearl toms this size. I find them a very useful size in 3 or 4 piece kits for most...

I've used Pearl hardware for years... heavy but strong... just too bad that the chrome plating does not hold up as well as 70's US & British made hardware did...

But note.. For the first year or so the Super Set o matics were supplied with BD mounts slightly to the rear of centre... exactly as this one is...

In fact my own kit is identically mounted to...

Seller is out of town till the weekend .. so I'll check it out then.. it's ex the Ebay stock shop so would be a damaged in transit item.. (Unplayed according to the seller).

I have reduced down to 7a's after 50 odd years of playing with heavier rock sticks, I reckon these days miked up I have a better technique and am much more comfortable with 7a's. I do carry some 5b...

This is my 11" paper thin splash (276 gram)..... I actually purchased this only in the 1970's as being a N O S item ... Sounds great and I gave it a good work out for many years prior to realizing...

I have one of the same keys but the Pearl text is white... (the inset is both sides of the key) . Maybe someone has reglued an inset back in & the glue has reacted with the plastic.
