Re: Need Washer for SK Heel Plate

When I find ones that have it missing, I actually drill a nickel. They work great.

Re: Vintage Ludwig drum case fit

The '80 catalog shows a bag for the 6.5 Super Sensitive. I didn't see a case specific for it however.

Re: Dating a Ludwig Shell

Most of the 60's Club Date floor toms had mufflers. On '60 and prior drums, mufflers were less of a standard thing. Sometimes had one, or none, or two! But those drums are usually natural wood...

Re: Dating a Ludwig Shell

Duco was the name given to any of Ludwig's painted finishes, single or dual colors. They were still doing this at least until the 70's. The maple exteriors were commonly used when a drum was to be...

Re: But is it selling?

I've given up on selling. And i hate that. I loved finding good items, trying to make them a little better and find them a new home. Loved working with buyers and meeting new people. Tough to do...

Re: Ludwig Club Date

That 15 "might " be a tenor tom with added legs. The leg mounts look period from what I can see. But, the 15" Club Date floor toms usually had the straight legs and push lever mounts.

Re: Kent american made or MIJ

Kent did have a blue foil badge with gold trim in the 60's I think. There is one in the badge ID section here on the forum. Identified as a 60's drum. Not sure when the exact year that Kent became...

Re: ludwig swing sensation snare stand.

The Ludwig '40A catalog lists the Swing Sensation drum outfit as having a 336k Master drum stand. This stand is shown in the same catalog as a chrome snare stand. This image is from the catalog.

Re: WTB: Ludwig Paiste 3 Star Cymbals

I've got a set of these in 15" hats. They do sound nice. Very thin though. I've got a full set of these. Very nice cymbals. Good luck in your search.

Re: Supra on Ebay

That should be a very late 70's/early 80's drum. It appears to be in great shape as well.

Re: Is this Orange Mod for real?

Those are some fantastic drums. I have several. Most likely 4 ply like mentioned. The 5x14s often had bowties lugs, but usually not on the 6.5 versions. It is USA Ludwig drum and not an import like...

Re: Picked this up at a flea market for 10 bucks

The badge appears to be a Ludwig 60's keystone badge. Looks like single tension parade style snare. It would have been equipped with a P83 strainer most likely. Ludwig was known for using up all...

Richard King also had quite a few a while back. He was selling them on Ebay. Haven't seen any lately though.

Re: Vintage Ludwig SuperSensitive Snare drum

Dan

That serial number is too high for a '65 drum. That serial number is usually closer to '67 or so. Nice drum. Good luck with the sale.

Re: A.F. Blaemire Drums I got from a Thrift SHop

Excellent find! Love the color of those. They appear to be in nice condition. That Pearl snare is nice one as well. Not quite in the same league as the Blaemires though!

Wasn't sure if you still had this kit or not. Here is a Clipper mount on Ebay. Hard to find them complete. This is a nice price on one as well.

Re: Finally pulled the trigger: 60's Walberg & Auge kit

Seems like Howie had a set of W&A's in this color or close to it. Maybe he will chime in. Apologies if he already has.

Re: Vintage Ludwig Strainer Question

The 338 is what's on 3 of my 20's Ludwig snares and are original to the drums.
