Re: Thinking about selling everything

I can't resist this question: Did you ever take the entire kit to a gig?

Re: Rogers Blue Onyx wrap

Quick note: The pattern, as I've received it on several occasions from Precision, is noticeably different from what I would expect to see on an original 1967 kit. I had both a refinished blue onyx...

Re: New Rogers Parts

Chicago Music Exchange was kind enough to send me a label to return them. I suggested they provide an indication to potential buyers that the new parts will only fit a new Dynasonic.

New Rogers Parts

Just a quick note to encourage caution buying new Rogers parts for original Rogers Dynasonics. I bought a couple of new end guards for the snare frame/bottom hoop.

These are not made according to...

Re: Suddenly Inherited Rogers Kit From Brother - Restoration!

Quite a job you've been doing on those Mark. That Ludwig Super Sensitive must sound great. I gigged with the shallow model years ago. Loved it. Keep up the good work!

Re: My First Rogers Foray! I Have some questions........

Back to the BDP. Nice set vayachaslav. I have a small set of BDP's, but with the beavertails. It's growing on me on account of the fact that it looks decent and didn't cost a lot. Sounds very good,...

Re: My First Rogers Foray! I Have some questions........

That photo is reminiscent of the stories Ringo told of playing with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes at Butlin's holiday camp in Pwllheli, England during that era. The red jackets are too cool.

Re: Rogers 8x12 Black Diamond Pearl

No. I've got a 14x14, but I don't think it's a Cleveland. Mostly like Dayton, but it was flat grey. In any event it is all black inside now including the label and tied to an 8x12 and 14x20 so it's...

That's a very nice kit Mark, although in your case I'll not say it's a keeper. LoLoLoLo

Re: Leedy Fiesta Pearl

Cool kit Mark. I kind of wish I was still in the market to buy, not sell. I really like the Leedys and the color is not seen very often.

Re: Let's see your drum room!!

I feel like such a piker looking at these drum rooms. All very cool. Mine is the back end of a shed in ME that used to look as if it was a hideout from the movie Deliverance. It does work for the...

Re: 1959 Ludwig Buddy Rich 980P Super Classic

Beautiful setup Mark, It speaks volumes about what vintage drums and playing them is all about. I agree with your approach to use them too. Once I was on vintage (early 90's), I used them...

Re: Leedy Experts

I've only had one Leedy kit. It was from that era. These were badged on all 4 drums, so they were last of the line from what I've gathered. I liked them a lot, but sold them when I made a major move...

Re: The Drum Bug

My parents started getting me drums for Christmas from the age of 3 or so. And they were just thinking they were toys. It didn't really hit me solidly until I saw Ringo Starr on his riser on the Ed...

Re: Gretsch RB progjazz 20/12/14/brass/ 1966RWP

Always an education here. I thought the wine red and emerald green hadn't shown up until the early 70's. I've only seen those kits with metal hoops. Cool setup. Thanks for posting.

Re: Anyone else get disheartened at all the greed in the vintage drum market?

Boy, this thread really caught on fire. But there are some great deals out there. If I was still buying, this one would already be gone to my place. Drop dead gorgeous even if you do have to deal...
