Hi all,

Is this a good deal for $90 plus shipping? Extra holes and a non Slingy bracket, but the wrap is a solid match with a late 60s kick and snare I have.

Re: Latest Score: Kent Snare

Looks like Oyster Black to me. I believe those Oyster wraps were unique to Kent, so that would be a cool score. I have this exact snare and finish - see pic. Kent is a cool entry in drum history. The...

Hi all,

I'm in search of a Kent strainer for a blue badge-era snare, for purchase or possible trade. If you have one, or know of where I may be able to track one down, please feel free to pm me.

Re: Why so many of us like the Acrolite snare drums

It's very versatile. It's probably not for every single environment, but it can sure cover a lot of ground. Tune it up, medium, or down, and it'll ring, cut, or splat. It records really well. It's a...

Re: What about some 60's Kent snare drums

Those are in really great condition! I have a 6-lug Kent snare from the blue badge era that has a low, funky tone. The shells were typically 1 piece of maple wrapped twice and glued. Mine still has...

Re: Rogers experts please
