They are a beautiful sounding drum... I have owned several & currently have a 6.5" 10lug & a 5" 8lug I'd say go for it.

Yes it's a 70's Soundking COB shell.... How much do they want?
The shell will polish up pretty well but need more pic's Rims / Throw Etc...

Good advice from Jeff..
No rubbing just dab at a small test area at a corner.. Also if you are using a solvent... start first with a much diluted with water mix.. and add more solvent to the water...

Yes to each of the ideas that you have already put forward... Autosol will do a decent job on the shell, the foil should knock off the rough bits on the hoops. The shell is fairly soft which is why...

They are wood shells Fibreglass lined.... I had 4 piece set in smaller sizes of the earlier series 22,16,13,12.. (Powermate kit), same shells but earlier tom mounts.. Well made drums but heavy dense...

Agree on the size... I remember they were same Dia as Slingerland leg mounts in '67.. we now know it as 9.5mm..
For what it's worth I have drilled out the case & the eyebolts in the past..from 9.5...

(Slingerland used Phillips head c/s screws)

Yes as said.. I think it's the S100 Ludwig supra equivalent. not sure about that throw though.. Look up Pauls (troutsounds) web page... He's a Drouyn collector in Sydney..

"Foot cymbal holder"
This attached to the lower BD hoop (usually rh side) with the slots upwards (as per the last image 144) .The angle varied according to the hoop & cymbal size. A wing nutted bolt...
