Re: Drum sticks

I have the same issues as you, Nsra65, but also Tendonitis in my wrists.

A friend suggested I try the Zildjian Anti-Vibe sticks, so I bought a pair and they seem to work for me. I use the 5A, and...

Re: Tama Superstar Frankenkit

A buddy of mine has a super Mahogany kit that's all scratched up. He found a furniture touch-up pen at one of the mega stores (Lowes I think) that was a near perfect match.

Re: Tama Superstar Frankenkit

Yep, I have the white logo just like that one on a black Superkick reso - it's just not in the picture. The white head with black lettering looks much better, IMO, and very classic. I would really...

Re: Tama Superstar Frankenkit

Yes. Most of the drums had extra holes that required dowel plugs, so I had to sand those spots anyway. The clear coat Tama used is extremely thick and took many hours of sanding, but it was a labor...

Re: 70's Ludwig floor tom seam repair

The denatured alcohol is working, but it's extremely labor intensive. I know acetone will work, but I have read conflicting opinions here and I'm not sure I want to risk it.

Going to try a little denatured alcohol to take the old glue off. Just a small spot w/a Q-tip to see what happens.
