Still do no know the history but the following cannot be disputed:

1-Jasper 3 ply with RR shell
2-TB hoops
3-Stamp from 1961 that a repair was made
4-Definate...

thank you for all your help.
I assume you saw the pictures.. I could not see where the shell ended and the RR began. Also, there is no grey primer on the bearing edges while on all my other Rogers...

So do you think this is 3 ply?
When I look at the cross view very closely from the top I cannot see where the plies end and the RR begins.

I have had someone mention that it must be a 3ply shell.

It appears to be a 5 ply shell but it really can't be since Rogers did not transfer to Keller until 1964 and this shell is 60 years old....

I can see it now that I looked at the drum very closely.
You have great eyes. I used a magnifying glass.
The wrap is original... I see impressions of the B&B lugs.

What is this snare worth?

The interior is not bare wood. I will shoot a better picture.
BUT.. I understand that these are not the original lugs and it is more than likely a rewrap... but wouldn't the spacing of the...

I bought this Rogers Eagle Snare drum from a well established collector many years ago.

I was told it was all original to the best of his knowledge other than the heads/wires.
The snare is 5 ply,...
