Thanks, I was pleasantly surprised how good the kit sounded, especially the Artwood birch snare. Btw, those are all Zildjian cymbals.

I've been using two Ludwig flat based stands and a spur lock hi-hat stand for several years. They've held up even during fairly heavy playing at many gigs.

Thanks, ya I agree, if a kit is well built the wood construction doesn't mean that much. I can tune this kit lower than my Leedy and get a better sound, but the Leedy sounds better pitched up higher....
