Re: Identification...Ludwig Thermogloss Over Natural Mahogany?

Your kit looks to be one of the African Mahogany varieties recently accepted as...

Re: One Way Out With Ludwig

Re: Fixing Shell Cracks?

Wood don't rattle, it squeaks and vibrates and buzzes. Loose screws with washers will rattle.

To check the integrity of that seam, press down on it going both sides working from edge to edge....

Re: Fixing Shell Cracks?

Re: Removing caked on stubborn rust from chrome MIJ hoop

OK, The Chrome will be missing in spots around the rust. The edges of the remaining will be flaky, maybe chip right off because the rust is under it too. So after the rust is gone, the shine will not...

Re: Fixing Shell Cracks?

I agree with Salty,...tube mixed is in a big batch and inconsistent, go a pro route with quality fillers. you also want your filler to except that stain you plan on. Spread anything you use with the...

Re: Fixing Shell Cracks?

Show me a pic so I can help you.

If it's a deep crack it will need to be filled. It will show, and never be hidden. Simply saying it's a deep crack will get you ....fill it, sand it, live with...

Re: Best to sell as kit or individual drums?

If it's a Pearl kit, you can find other brands Pearl marketed and used the same trims and hardware's. Pearl did that a lot.

Re: Best to sell as kit or individual drums?

When you put profit over family, they make more parted out. Keeping them as a family will net you less but they stay together as original kit.

......greed !!

Re: Drum key Pearl K050 with unusual yellow color logo

The only clue I can offer is I notice a change the key's factory finish in the many online and one from Pearl website. There's rough cast looking and polished Chrome.

Re: Drum key Pearl K050 with unusual yellow color logo

For you, the guy with ten million billion keys from all planets,...to be stumped ?

The glue bleed or faded suggestions given make sense if the measurements add up.
