Re: Camco sighting "Fanny" circa 1972

Pre-Heart so that's cool. For as much as I think I know music in my 50+ years I just learned of Fanny a few years ago. You're never too old to discover old/new music!

Re: Yamaha Recording Custom Drum Kit - 1985 Cherry Wood - $1,200

I'd love this kit if I hadn't sworn off buying any more. This is Steve Gadd-ish era no?

Re: 1976 Ludwig Big Beat shells

Also, if you are the original owner of these I would certainly state this in the ad. A nice selling point and buyer would love knowing they weren't in the hands of many others. Nice kit!

Re: Slingerland White Satin Flame

Yes, but don't be discouraged. Bubbles will get off whatever it reasonably can. Don't expect brand new bright looking drums. This wrap is finicky.

Re: Why Do Ludwig Drums Sound So Good

I'd take an old beat up Ludwig kit from the 60s over anything new and expensive today. They made musical history and are ingrained in every great song there was.

Bonham & Vistalites

Did John Bonham ever use Ludwig Vistalites in the recording studio meaning did they ever appear on a studio Led Zep tune? Too lazy to research this and thought I'd find some experts here. My...

Re: Old set of Rogers... 12, 14, 20 inch

This setup is highly desirable though like said above the replacement of original parts looks to be an issue but certainly $1,200 is attainable. If completely original you may be upwards of $2k....

Re: But is it selling?

I'm a marginal amateur player at best since 2010 and I've owned 7 different kits since then, having sold five. I am less obsessed these days and satisfied with my Ludwig Club date '63 and Slingerland...

Re: What age did you start drumming?

45 years of age. A mid life crisis of the good kind! I'm a below average drummer but the best part was my appreciation for vintage drums. At least I can look hip and cool while playing bad. It worked...
