Re: Help Identification of older marching snare - Slingerland?

I thought that the drum key was pretty interesting. Not sure what the larger hex...

Re: Gretsch Dixieland with Die Cast Hoops

I have recorded a few drums with similar markings. I do not have an explanation for them, but here are two others with numbers 581 below the butt and 708 above the butt.

Re: Excelsior Drums (age & value?)

Dump them? Not a good thing to say on a site dedicated to vintage drums. Where are you located? I am sure there is a member nearby who would like them. If you are anywhere near Kansas City,...

Re: Help Identification of older marching snare - Slingerland?

This drum is at a live auction out of town. Unless someone tells me that it would be worth it to make a drive and then spend most of a day waiting to find out if anyone else is bidding on it, I will...

Re: Help Identification of older marching snare - Slingerland?

Now that I know that it is a Duplex drum, I found a few drums with some similar characteristics. Thanks again for the ID help.

Re: Ludwig Standard Granitone Questions

I honestly cannot say if this is an outlier. I have recorded the interior finish that is visible, so generally see Reso-Cote or Granitone and do not know what is beneath them.
