Looked up KLIEGL BROS N.Y. which is what is cast into the base and found their website. On their website they have scanned catalogs from the 50's. In one of those catalogs I found this!!

This is one of the tension rods from my 70's Supra. Notice the head profile and overall size.

It looks to me like those are the correct tension rods for that era of drum. You can double check the measurement if you want. I think...

The Evans Orchestral 200 is a 2 mil thickness head. I have found that the diplomat weighted snare side head tends to dry and focus the sound. Really good for articulation bad for overall body and...

Read about hide glue and found out it is water soluble. Soaked the center of the head and it softened it up enough I could peel it off with tweezers. Making progress!

It is in good shape. Just needs a light cleaning.

It does have calf heads right now. The batter head has glue residue that I need to figure out how to clean off and I want to re-seat the heads. ...
