Re: Can you tell me anything by this Paiste stamp

The black label is most probably a Signature and the red label a 2002 (or less likely, a discontinued 3000 series).

Re: 12" Splash Cymbal Shootout Comparison Video

Nice video - thanks for making and posting. I prefer the Wuhan and the last one #12. But they all sound very usable. It would be interesting to throw a Paiste Signature 12" in there and see how it...

Re: Are Formula 602 16" Crashes More Rare

Charlie Watts used to play a 16" 602 thin crash as far as I am aware and its sound is over many Stones albums. I think that 602 thin crashes that survived for over 50 years are certainly quite rare....

Re: Advice on early '70's Vintage Orange Ludwig kit

HI Mark,

Indeed. I am definitely taking his advice and will walk away from the deal. It's just not worth the risk.

Cheers

Hi there - I can honesty vouch for lacquer thinners - i used it to clean up the paint over the wrap and all the hardware on my project and it worked just fine without any damage to the wrap.

1971 Ludwig Super Classic

I restored this set which was painted white by a previous owner. Beautiful White Marine Pearl which was actually preserved by the paint I think as there is no fading or discoloration to the wrap.

Re: My Blue Ripple Star Drums

Thanks idrum4fun! The Tiger Pearl is definitely close. It's actually a damn cool wrap. Brown is definitely not a common wrap color and I can't imagine a hugely popular color, which makes it even more...
