every mastercraft and kingbeat I have ever owned has sounded great ( loud to me ) the extended keys are fairly key to the sound. I think they are pretty consistent. I would primarily worry about...

plus one on finding a Mastercraft snare to match. The colour is not all that common and you rarely see it come up. I would think that you could ask 40 percent premium in comparison to a say a cherry...

True this however it dose not mean the wrap in not original. On occasion I have removed the badges to properly polish the whole shell.

yup the shells are not made out of a wood that you would want to try and stain. rewrapping is a good option as the y are actually good sounding drums.

the vintage or sought after superstars will have the T badge..... and had a urethane finish. the picture of the badge you posted is the newer made in china shell.

The drum originally had die cast hoops. i have the same drum....... very cool snare...... think loud!

Nice snare for sure! the quality tama was putting out during this time period was top notch. Anytime i can pinch a artstar from the 80s or early nineties i jump. congrats you will enjoy for sure

i have a 8 in power metal brass too excellent drum. If it is in really good shape you could expect 350 to 400 ish. Note there is a coating on that drum so if you polish it you need to reseal it with...

toms, 14, 16,18, floor toms and a 24 kick...
