Re: Mystery crash cymbal - paiste ??

Thanks for the responses. I had my suspicions that this wasn't a Paiste, as it didn't have any visible serial number under the bell as Paiste cymbals usually have.

Cheers,
Rob

Classifieds for this unidentified 17" crash cymbal. As a vintage Paiste collector and user for quite some time, I'm thinking this might be an 80's...

Re: 1971 Ludwig Set Has Arrived!

Why not use the new ATLAS bass drum spurs ?
They look great, are rock solid, and don't any drilling.
All you do is remove a lug, and there you have it !

Re: Speed King Reissue?

Knowing Ludwig's reputation, it most probably will surpass the 200.00 mark, for the following reasons. Retro nostalgia, customer and collector anticipation, and of course, more importantly, for...

Re: Question on a 20x18 Ludwig F.T.

I'm gonna +1 with those who believe this drum to be unmolested. Badge is normal to look crooked, and to my eye, the drum seems to be an 18x16. 20" floor toms can look slightly shorter in most pics...

Re: Nice bollero snare drum !

Hey gantro ! Thanks ! It did take both extremely well, with zero issues. It also captured the wood grain nicely as well, something I wasn't expecting.

Cheers,
Rob

Hey guys. Just thought I'd post a couple of pics of the snare shell's interior after a light sanding, 1 coat of "summer oak" stain, and a high end wood protector sealant to protect the wood. I was...

Hey gantro !
As I stated in another response, the badge literally flaked off and disintegrated .. I could not believe that this Bollero badge is a sticker. Crazy ..

Hey Kenwood.
The snare is the exact same as finish as your floor tom. The floor tom that I assumed was missing is also with the kit, as the pawn shop didn't post the pic yet when I first posted my...

Re: Nice bollero snare drum !

Hey Michael !
Great hearing from you again. I think I may end up keeping this one simply because the finish will go nicely with my now powder blue painted Stewart bass drum, and of course, the fact...
