Re: eBay moment

I've purchased from this seller many years ago when he offered fair prices. This is the same seller I mentioned a few weeks ago, when he was parting out a perfectly nice COB Dynasonic. The price for...

Here's a link to the drum in question... https://reverb.com/item/29763809-gretsch-14x14-burgundy-sparkle-round-badge-floor-tom-1964-burgundy-sparkle

Re: 3M Fastbond Neutral

Hello Pratt!

Looking at information about this adhesive at Precision Drum Company, they state that a quart "will cover a five piece kit or more"l. So based on that quantity, a gallon would be good...

Re: The 14x14 Remains Highly Sought

All excellent points! I did have to plug the holes from all those extra mounts and eye-bolts, though! And had to drill for the Swivo leg mounts. Still, I didn't have to worry about existing snare...

Re: The 14x14 Remains Highly Sought

Dan!

Yes, the 14x14 floor tom has that mystique of higher prices...many times in the stratosphere! I had a chance to pick up a period correct 14x14 floor tom for my 1966 Rogers Headliner for less...

Re: Slingerland Re-wrap opinions

Hi TK!

As previously mentioned, if your plan is to recover the set and flip them, you will most likely not even recoup your initial investment! The cost of quality wrap, not including the labor to...

Re: This is the Display Your MIJ Drums Thread

I forgot about this one! It's a "no-name" 3pc that I found on eBay back in late 2003. The wrap was a very cool looking finish that I called "Rootbeer Strata! I found a nice COS "Norma" snare drum for...

Re: Slingerland Re-wrap opinions

+1 with this reply.

I've seen vintage sets, from most USA-made companies, where the seller wrapped the shells in a finish never offered. With rare exception, a non-offered wrap makes for a tough...

Re: Rogers Dynasonic Black Onyx Variations

Hi Dan!

My guess is that they are two different wraps. As you noted, the more "silver" wrap is offered by Sam and is called "Silver & Black Onyx Pearl. Sam also offers the more traditional version...
